Holiday Giving

Help us create a little holiday magic for children and families on Long Island! This holiday season, the Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation is partnering with local organizations to provide gifts, clothing, winter coats, and sneakers to children and youth across Suffolk and Nassau Counties. The families we support are experiencing homelessness, have an incarcerated parent or loved one, or are facing other significant challenges.

Your donation helps ensure that these children can experience the joy and excitement of the holiday season and that parents can focus less on what they cannot provide and more on making memories with the people they love.

Thank you for helping us show up when it matters most!

Stock Our Local Food Pantries

This month, the Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation is helping stock the pantry at the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless.

Food pantries provide more than groceries. They help ensure that individuals and families facing difficult circumstances have access to everyday essentials and a little less to worry about. Current needs include paper goods, cereal, canned soup, canned vegetables, pasta and sauce, jelly, rice, baby items (including diaper cream, baby shampoo/wash, and baby oil), and toiletries.

Past Projects

On April 25, 2026, the Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation sourced, assembled, and donated all 26 raffle baskets featured at Milo's 5K.

The annual race benefits the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless.

On June 17, 2026, New Hour for Women and Children honored Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation President Carolyn Fellrath-Cohen with its Volunteer of the Year Award at the organization's annual gala. We were proud to celebrate alongside New Hour and support the event by providing the gala's raffle baskets.

Thank you to New Hour Board Member, and Carolyn's sister, Robyn Fellrath, for the beautiful introduction!

In August 2026, the Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation donated 100 backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies for students entering pre-K through college through its partnership with New Hour for Women and Children. Each backpack was carefully packed to help students begin the school year feeling prepared and confident!

In August 2026, the Fellrath Cohen Ward Foundation donated 80 backpacks filled with grade-appropriate school supplies, along with more than 100 new clothing items and pairs of sneakers, to Backpack Pirates, a one-day summer camp organized by the Long Island Coalition for the Homeless for children living in homeless shelters across Long Island.

Why We Do This

So much of what makes our lives work comes from people we'll never meet.

The projects on this page are possible because individuals, organizations, and community partners choose to show up for others without expecting recognition in return. We are grateful to be part of that tradition and honored to work alongside so many people who share that commitment.
